ARTIST STATEMENT
As an ambitious large-scale ceramic sculptor, I aim to create enduring works that transcend the boundaries of tradition and innovation. I grapple with consequential themes that delve into the depths of the human condition, striving to evoke a profound understanding of our interconnectedness.
My sculptures serve as a poignant reminder of the delicate and intertwined nature of all things, reflecting the insights gained from exploring the human mind and its yearning to transcend the limitations of our earthly existence. Through relentless dedication and the imprint of my own physicality, I imbue my sculptures with tactile, visual aspects and symbolic imagery that convey themes of both raw power and vulnerability.
In essence, my sculptures embody rebellious detours, defying the confines of immediacy and predictability. These deviations from the mundane are essential, as they provide me with the opportunity to unearth unforeseen depths, encounter the unfamiliar, and expand my comprehension. It is within the realm of my work, far from the spasms of unrest, where I find solace and embrace the uncharted territories of sculptural expression.
